Innovation: Sporesight

In this series, we’re talking to innovators who are doing things a bit differently. Whether in their personal lives or through creative ventures, each of them brings a fresh perspective to what they do.
The first person we spoke to is Jess, the founder of Sporesight, an agency and collective specializing in fungi. Jess has turned a deep passion into a business, bringing something genuinely new to the insights world at the same time. Sporesight is one of the only - if not the only - agencies delivering insights on mycelium while also using it as a model for how they work.
Their innovation isn’t just in the insights they provide but in how they operate. Sporesight runs immersive field trips, taking clients out of the boardroom and into the woods to meet experts and see mushroom innovation firsthand. These hands-on experiences offer a radically different way to engage with insights. They’re also using nature as a blueprint for how they operate and structure their business - building a decentralized network of collaborators for starters.
Jess and Sporesight aren’t just studying fungi. They’re learning from them, using their ways of growing and connecting as a blueprint for the future of work.
